Newest Faces For Mac Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper. Both Gaga and Cyndia have been named the newest faces of the Mac AIDS Fund. "From Our Lips" is the latest campaign from Mac and is set to lauch in Feb 2010 in order to raise money for the MAC AIDS Fund.

The pair will both have their own lipsticks for the line including MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Viva Glam Cyndi Lipstick which will retail for $14 (approx £8.50). 100% of the proceeds will go to the MAC AIDS Fund. I know one thing I will definitely be picking up the MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick hoping of course that it looks pretty just as much as it will help out the cause.

Aveda does rocker chic hair for 'Jimmy Choo for H&M' launch party

Aveda does rocker chic hair for 'Jimmy Choo for H&M' launch party. For those of you that don't know Jimmy Choo is releasing a new collection for H&M and the launch party was held last Monday. Aveda did their hair for the shows models and if you're wondering how the looks were created look below to find out how you can get the style.

The Look:

The look is very rock and roll—edgy and imperfect with thick, ruffled texture. A new flat-iron technique creates square-shaped waves for easy, rocker chic style.

Get the Look/Step-by-Step:


* Step 1: Separate hair into top and bottom sections, creating a horizontal line from ear to ear. Further divide the top section into two to three layers, depending on the amount of hair. Twist and secure each layer at the top of the head with a hair clip.




* Step 2: Spray bottom section of hair with Aveda Air Control™ Hair Spray for shine and workable hold.


* Step 3: Beginning with the bottom section of hair and working in one-inch sections, flat-iron hair beginning at the roots, and stopping about one to two inches from ends. Wrap the closed flat-iron around straightened hair as if using a curling iron. Repeat throughout bottom section of hair, alternating the direction of the curl with each piece.



* Step 4: Wrap waves three at a time into loose braids and wind into rosettes. Secure loosely against the head with clips, helping to set the curls.

* Step 5: Repeat steps with additional layers of hair, moving upwards and leaving the top layer untouched.

* Step 6: Release remaining top section of hair from clip and create a middle part from forehead to crown.


* Step 7: Separate two-inch long pieces of hair along the middle part. Hold sections vertically between two fingers and backcomb the bottom two inches of hair, closest to the root. Flat-iron each backcombed portion to set texture and enhance volume.


* Step 8: Once all hair in the top layer has been backcombed and set with the flat-iron, gently comb the entire section of hair away from the face. Be careful not to comb out volume created at the roots.




* Step 9: Remove all hair clips, letting rosettes fall, and roughly rake fingers throughout to loosen waves. Spray Aveda Volumizing Tonic™ throughout to amplify volume.

* Step 10: Finish the look by creating a subtle side part. Lightly sprinkle Aveda Pure Abundance™ Hair Potion throughout the roots and massage into scalp for added volume and matte texture.

Nars Fall 2009 Swatches and Sheer Matte Foundation Review

Nars Fall 2009 Swatches and Sheer Matte Foundation Review. One of my favorite brands in the cosmetic game has to be Nars, their products are highly highly pigmented so they work for all skintones. From their blushes, eyeshadows, to their foundations, if you have problems with some shades of makeup showing up on your skin move over to Nars because they have you covered.

As many of you know I've been on the hunt for my HG foundation and while I found one Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation it's important to keep my options open. After all ladies love to have choices and foundation is no exception. My second favorite backup foundation is the new Sheer Matte in New Orleans, it's long lasting, highly pigmented, goes on smooth best applied with the Mac 187 brush or foundation brush and it keeps oil at bay for hours. I really love the finish, and the formula comes in all shades, and honestly I have never had a foundation match my complexion more closely then the New Orleans shade. Perfect! Along with the foundation I also picked up the New Orleans foundation powder to set my makeup for a more long lasting look.

From the Nars 2009 fall collection I couldn't help myself so I also grabbed the Tokaido express nail color ( which is the perfect fall purple) and Mekong eyeshadow. From the regular line I picked up stella lipgloss, and Mounia blush ( perfect for brown skin). You can see swatches below and if any of you are eying Nars blushes I'll be posting up pics from my whole collection soon. I have tons of Nars Blushes since they show up so well on my skin and last all day.

Sephora 2009 Holiday Makeup Trends and Beauty Looks. Every year Sephora shows us what looks are hot for the holidays and this season makeup is all about sparkling and dazzling with high pigmented colors. You can see all the looks below plus the products you can use to recreate them.



Blend Korres Eye Shadow in Plum over the lids and smudge some under the lower lash line. Then line eyes (top and bottom) with Sephora Collection Glitter Eyeliner in 02 Silver, making sure to dot some sparkle in the inner corners of the eyes. Add drama with MAKE UP FOR EVER Lashes in 128 Margarita.

TIP: Amp up a holiday look by applying crystals with eyelash glue to the upper lash line.

Apply Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 from the Oil Free Flawless Face Kit in Nude.

Fill lips with Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Vamp Pink 21, then dab MAKE UP FOR EVER Glitter in Pink on top while the lipstick is still slightly tacky.




Sweep Smashbox HALO Hydrating Perfecting Shadow Duo in Buff/Ivory from lash line to brow bone, then blend Sephora Collection Eyeshadow In Fame And Fortun #43 over balls the lid. Dab MAKE UP FOR EVER Flash Color in Gold on the brow bone and around inner corners of the eye for an eye-opening effect. Lastly, dramatize and define lashes with Givenchy Phenomen'eyes Effet Extension Mascara in 1 Extension Black.


Apply Korres 99% Natural Face Primer to the entire face, then dust on Benefit One Hot Minute for mega-radiance. Next, apply NARS The Multiple In Orgasm to cheeks.


Add a hint of nude shine with Stila Kitten Lip Glaze.

TIP: Can't find the perfect golden nude for your lips? Mixing a creamy gold shadow with your favorite neutral lipstick will do the trick.

Get the Midas Touch with Sephora By OPI in Charge It!, the perfect gold polish.



Blend MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black Waterproof Crème Eyeshadow in Black onto the lid and along the top and bottom lash line. Next, layer MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes in Silver under the black liner on the lower lash line. Finish by applying MAKE UP FOR EVER lashes, then top the entire lid with MAKE UP FOR EVER Glitter in Silver. Use a piece of scotch tape to pick up stray pieces of glitter.

Apply Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 from the Oil Free Flawless Face Kit in Nude, then add a healthy flush by blending Tarte Natural Beauty Natural Cheek Stain onto the cheeks.

Line and fill lips with a vibrant shade of pink like Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick in Las Vegas.



Using the Sephora Collection Platinum #14 Medium Shadow Brush, sweep Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow in Sadist onto the lids and stipple some under the lower lash line, then apply Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow in Fatal on the brow bones making sure the purple diffuses with the blue below it. Generously line the upper lash line with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes in 12L, winging it up and out at the end for a colorful, filled in cat eye look. Finish with a couple coats of Too Faced Lash Light Mascara and a quick arch shape-up using the Anastasia Brow Definer

Apply Dior SkinFlash Primer in Sheer Glow for a lit-from-within glow.

Apply Sephora Collection Lip Attitude - Star in Mauve Scandal 10 for a frosty finishing touch.

TIP: While purple isn't as common on the lips as red or beige, you might want to rethink how often you wear the color since it magically makes teeth look whiter and brighter.



Start with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin to make shadow stay put. Using the Sephora Collection Colorful Artist Eyeshadow Palette, apply the pink shade on the lids and inner eye, the purple shade along lower the lash line, and the yellow shade under the brow bone and lower lash line. Finish with Yves Saint Laurent Exaggerated Mascara In Deep Black.

Apply Lancôme Ôscillation Powder Foundation to create a smooth, even complexion. Add Josie Maran Cream Blush In Sunset to cheeks.

For a perfect nude lip, apply a coat of NARS Lip Gloss in Striptease.

Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation Review. I've heard amazing things about Bobbi Brown and her foundation and as many of you know I've been on the hunt for my fall / winter hg foundation and I've finally found it. Keep in my that I will be reviewing some other as well but for right now this is my favorite.



What Bobbi Brown Says It Does: This portable oil-free compact foundation is great for normal to oily and oily skin types on the go. Easily blendable for long lasting true color with full coverage. Comes with a compact sponge for easy application.

What I Say It Does: If you're looking for a new foundation to try Bobbi has some great choices, many shades are offered from very fair, to darkest dark. The line is primarily for women who have yellow undertones, but I find that some of the shades are also great for some red undertones as well. Like any foundation its about finding the right shade for you. My foundation color was Warm Almond, and this foundation went on like nothing I've ever tried before. It's best applied with a foundation brush where coverage is needed. It feels creamy when I first put it on, very pigmented, and dries to a matte flawless finish. I then set the foundation with Bobbi's pressed powder in basic brown. I've had no breakouts with this foundation and it's very long wearing. I've always been a fan of Mac but their foundation breaks me out so bad, so If you're like me Bobbi is another great alliterative for a flawless looking foundation.
